Event #2
2:30PM-4PM-WomenSpeakerSeries@St.MaryofHarborChurch -FreeEvent.
Women around the world are treated very differently. Here in the USA we still do not have an equal rights amendment in our constitution. And then there are those women who have had horrific treatment just because they are female.
The IWFFA would like to take advantage from the experiences of our flag football players with the public to understand these atrocities, and if we can, we want to make a difference. This year we are excited and proud to announce the participation in our flag football games from two women, whom the IWFFA helped get asylum for and out of Afghanistan: Our Guest speakers are: Najia and Shakila Fayez who tell us: BEFORE – DURING – AFTER THE TALIBAN.
As soon as the Taliban entered their cities, these women’s lives and their families lives changed forever. Additional speakers: Suzana Abdelbage Akol Agang comes from South Sudan and shares a riveting story of her life in Sudan and Paula Rojas who comes from Guatemala shares what is the life like for women in Guatemala.
