D-4 PLAYER FLAG FOOTBALL CLINIC 101 (3 of 3)

Meet Mexican flag football player: Diana Flores (you saw her in the 2022 Super Bowl commercial) has been invited to share her secrets and tips playing flag football. She starts the session sharing what she knows and you are welcome to ask questions. Then we continue today with what we learned yesterday. We review plays, explain when to call certain plays then incorporate into your decision making as a player or coach.  We’ll go over kicking and receiving teams. We end in a scrimmage game. If you have any ideas for a special play you want to use in the tournament, feel free to practice it here.

D-4 WOMEN SPEAKER SERIES

This event is a very warm and touching experience for our audience. Last year’s Special Guest speaker in our women speaker series was: Meg Cabot who is most famous for her Princess Diaries series, made into two hit movies by Disney.  Then who followed Meg were our Afghanistan flag football players (via zoom) who had to go into hiding once the Taliban took control of their country at the end of August 2022. We heard what it was like “Before – During – After the Taliban”. We also heard from our international players who share what the life is like for women in their country from these countries: Morocco, Sweden, Jamaica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. This year we will again have a special guest speaker: Diana Flores – one of Mexico’s greatest flag football players will speak about growing up playing flag football in Mexico, and  we will hear from other international women competing in the tournament this year.  It’s always an interesting forum with personal shares. Please come join us. No Admission – Public Welcome.
